COLTS NECK TALENT SHOW
RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. The Talent Show will be held on Sunday, August 17, in the Entertainment tent on the Main Stage from 2:00pm-3:30pm. The organizers of this event retain the option to adjust the start time accordingly.
2. There is no entry fee or audition required. All entries must fill out and return an Application. Participation is on a first come first serve basis and is limited. Each applicant will only be allowed to perform once.
3. There will be two age divisions youth (0 to12) and adult (13 and up). This provision is dependent upon the entries received. The organizers of this event retain the option to adjust age divisions accordingly.
4. Groups will be placed into age groups by the 50% rule. In a duo, if a member is designated in the adult division, the duo will be entered into the adult division.
5. Time limit for each act is 3 minutes. Acts will be timed, after 3 minutes, music will be faded and performer(s) will be applauded to leave the stage to allow the next act to perform.
6. Sound system will be provided.
7. Contestants using recorded music must deliver the cassette or CD, in good condition, to the Fair office no later than Friday, August 15. Please have any music labeled with your name and contact information, so they can be returned. Also, if you provide a cassette, we request that it be staged to the proper selection. For CD’s, note the track number on the case.
8. Performers will be judged on: Originality, Stage Presence, Talent for Age and Mastery, and Personality.
9. All winners will be announced on Sunday, August 17.
10. Prizes
will be given to the top three in each division.
