Our Official Fair and Major Sponsors
The Fair Committee extends a special thanks to our official sponsors. Without these fine, community-minded organizations, the Fair would not have been able to grow into what it has become these past years. The solid commitment these organizations have given to the Fair is truly commendable. The official Fair sponsors play an important and integral role each year and deserve to be recognized for their continuous support.
Brock Farms is one of Monmouth County's most diverse and complete garden centers. It is a virtual showplace with acres and acres of nursery stock including annuals, and vegetable and nursery plants. Ed Brock, Sr., and his wife, Jean, first established Brock Farms in 1944. They have always had a strong sense of community involvement and continue to be one of Colts Neck's highly respected businesses. Brock Farms has two locations, one on Route 34 in Colts Neck, and one on Route 9 in Freehold. Ed Brock, Jr., his sister Linda Arcoleo and her husband Bob Arcoleo, all play an important role in maintaining this family operated business. During the fall season both locations do a very large store and Halloween display. The Colts Neck store is renowned for their water gardening display, and both locations house an excellent gift shop. At Christmas time, the Colts Neck location carries fresh Christmas trees and live Christmas wreaths, while the Freehold location has a 40,000 square foot display of Christmas decorations and a special Christmas walk-through.

Delicious Orchards began its operation in Colts Neck in 1911. Three generations of the Barclay family managed the operation. After World War II, Carrol W. Barclay took over the business and began to change the operation from wholesale only to a combination wholesale/retail operation. In 1959, a farm stand was established on Route 537. It was so successful that it led to the construction of a more permanent building the following year. Home baked apple pies and fresh apple cider were added to the product line. In 1966, Delicious Orchards moved to its present location. Delicious Orchards is known for its incredible variety of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and wonderful and unusual specialty items. Despite its need to expand in the recent past due to its well-earned reputation, drawing visitors from as far away as New York and Pennsylvania, Delicious Orchards has retained a strong sense of community identity and continues to give visitors a big-hearted, small town welcome.
William Laird who settled in Monmouth County in 1698 after emigrating from Scotland, founded Laird and Company. Due to the abundance of apples grown in this area, William Laird began the production of an apple brandy called "AppleJack." AppleJack was a standard item on the Colts Neck Inn's menu in the early 1700's. During the Revolutionary War days, the Laird family provided AppleJack to General George Washington and his troops. During the days of prohibition, the company was able to survive by branching out into other apple products such as apple sauce and apple cider. In 1851 Laird and Company moved to its present location on Route 537 and Laird Road. Today, the Laird's distillery is recognized as the oldest operating distillery in the country. It is run by Larrie W. Laird an eighth generation descendent of William Laird. Laird and Company continues to be a staple of the Colts Neck community.
The 75-year-old law firm of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer has always been a leader in community involvement. The tradition of giving back to the community started with the firm's founder David T. Wilentz, a former New Jersey attorney general who achieved international fame and recognition as the successful prosecutor of Bruno Hauptman in the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby. As the firm has grown from a local, general law practice to one of New Jersey's largest and most respected professional firms, the spirit of volunteerism has continued to flourish. The firm presents numerous seminars and programs for the benefit of the general public and awards generous scholarships to graduating seniors in both Middlesex and Monmouth counties.
